Aurabelle, the Golden Blonde Bombshell Superhero was at Rio Di Halla’s City Hall to help kick off International Bombshell Day events in the city. International Bombshells Day is the multi-universal celebration of bold, confident, and powerful women who embrace their beauty and their inner and outer strength.
Celebration of Bombshells
“This day is all about recognizing and celebrating the unique qualities that make women stand out in a crowd,” said Aurabelle, whose public civilian identity is Kimberly Briggs. “Whether it’s a sharp wit, a commanding presence, or a fierce determination, Bombshells are not afraid to show the world what they’re made of.”
That brought a smile on my face as I couldn’t wait for a one-on-one lunch interview with the superhero. When she was finished with the morning events we went to her penthouse roof patio. She speed-changed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, then cooked us a few burgers on her barbecue as if it was just any other Saturday.
“I am so much in awe of how you can switch from superhero mode to celebrity mode to just plain Kimberly mode,” I told her.
She flashed her trademark smile seen on many of her posters. “Thank you! It’s definitely a balancing act to juggle my superhero responsibilities with my personal life and my career as a celebrity,” Aurabelle replied. “I believe that it’s important to stay grounded and connected to my human side, even when I’m out fighting crime or appearing in the media. At the end of the day, I’m only just a girl with a super set of abilities, and I try to never lose sight of that.”

Aurabelle made a connection with the god Dionysus when she was a young girl and everything including her mind, her body and her powers all developed from there. I think she also got her cooking skills from that god. She makes really good bombshell burgers.
Growing Up Busty, Brawny and Blonde
Before the looks and glamor, Kimberly Briggs had body-image issues growing up as a young girl through middle and high school. “Like many young girls, I struggled with self-esteem and body image issues,” said Aurabelle. “I also faced bullying and discrimination from others who saw me as different or strange.”
“I didn’t think someone like you would be bullied,” I told her. Aurabelle had been a top-notch volleyball and track athlete in school. But, bullying can still happen to anyone.
“In middle school, a group of boys started making fun of my arms and large chest,” said Aurabelle. “They would make lewd comments and gestures, and even went so far as to create a fake online profile in my name and post false things about me.” Despite possessing super-strength and invulnerability, she was ashamed of her body and thought she was powerless to stop the bullying.

Fortunately, she had her parents, school counselors and true friends to help support her mental health and self-confidence. It was no wonder she decided to major in Psychology when she attended Metro City University. “I was definitely curious about understanding how people’s behavior and emotions were affected by those with superpowers like mine,” said Aurabelle. “I also wanted to understand myself better and how my own powers worked. Psychology gave me a lot of tools to explore these questions, and I found it interesting to learn about the workings of the mind.”
Her education and experiences jump-started internships with several metahuman organizations to develop programs and resources that provided support to those who were struggling with their abilities or dealing with discrimination and prejudice.
Glamorous Golden Glamazon
Then the glamor industry came knocking. Kimberly was approached by a modeling agency and then caught the attention of a talent scout at a modeling event despite being six-feet-tall and weighing in excess of 200 pounds. “The scout was impressed by my look and presence on the runway, and offered me a contract to model for their agency. As I began modeling more frequently, my popularity grew, and I was eventually approached by a talent scout who saw potential in me for the film industry. He offered me a role in a small independent film, which turned out to be a success, and from there, I began to receive more offers and opportunities in the acting world.”

Aurabelle would go to portray several physically strong female characters in several superhero movies like the “Metro City Vindicators” franchise and TV shows like “The Warrior Queens” which bring together legendary female warriors throughout time and history.
She also starred in the movie “CyberNet Souls” where she played a character that led a team of hackers. This would be the first time Aurabelle did not visibly show her physical prowess and instead focused on showing her intelligence, science and problem solving skills. They all served as a foil to her statuesque body. “It was interesting to learn about hacking and how it works, and to figure out how to convey that on screen in a way that was both accurate and engaging for the audience. It was a fun and rewarding experience to step out of my comfort zone and try something new.”
“Being such a tall and strong woman, has that ever affected your opportunities in Hollywood?” I asked her.
“For me personally, I’ve faced some challenges in finding roles that fit my physique and personality, but I’ve also been fortunate to work with directors and producers who value and appreciate my unique look and skill set. I believe that the more we see diverse representation in the media, the more people will recognize the beauty and strength in all types of bodies.”
Aurabelle: The New Blonde Bombshell Superhero
While busy with school, modeling and acting, Kimberly would sneak out and patrol at night much to her parents’ and agents’ ire. By the time she was in her twenties and graduated from University, it was time for Kimberly Briggs to become a superhero.
“When I was younger, I used to dream about a powerful, golden warrior princess who could control light and had super strength. I would always call her ‘Aurabelle’ in my dreams, and the name just stuck with me. When I became a superhero, I decided to take on the name Aurabelle as a way to pay homage to that childhood hero of mine. Plus, I thought it sounded unique and had a nice ring to it.” She has been often compared to other blond bombshells like Marilyn Monroe and other popular large-chested supermodels and curvy superheroes.
Aurabelle’s powers include super-strength up to 25 tons, invulnerable to extreme conditions, physical contacts and certain forms of radiation, flight, super-speed, agility, stamina and limited protection in the vacuum of space. She also has a limited connection with nature and plant life, so she’s able to communicate with them and ask for their help during battles.
It was at this point when an emergency call interrupted our interview. A bank robbery was in progress. With another speedy change, she donned her form-fitting golden body suit with one piece overdress and pumps. She winked at me and shot into he sky towards the scene. Being the reporter that I am, I just had to follow her.
Aurabelle and Olympia: The Unexpected Team-Up
When Aurabelle and I got there, I analyzed the metahuman criminals. One of them was Shatterstorm who had the ability to manipulate sound and had super-strength on top of that. The other one was Flare who had the ability to control fire. As I watched Aurabelle leap into the air like a golden swan, she swung her powerful leg to kick Shatterstorm but he made a thunderclap, sending Aurabelle flying and slamming into the wall. Aurabelle was then blasted with fire from Flare.
I couldn’t stand by as they beat up my blonde bosom buddy. I grabbed a fire hose from the fire truck and water-blasted Flare from behind. She turned towards me in surprise which gave Aurabelle the chance to send a thundering punch at Shatterstorm, knocking him out and kicking Flare in the gut. When it was done, Aurabelle stood tall as the police took the super villains in and handled the impromptu media scrum like it was routine. Afterwards, we talked again. She thanked me for being her sidekick even though it was for just a few minutes.
“I’m glad I was able to help,” I told her. “We blond bombshells have to stick together. Anytime you need help again, let me know, okay?” I offered as I posed my much less super-looking petite physique towards her.
She laughed. “Thank you, I might take you up on that, mini-me.”
Aurabelle has a new book out called “The Strength Within” which documents her journey to self-acceptance and empowerment. In it, she shared stories of her struggles with body image, social expectations, and learning to embrace her strength and her own femininity.
It’s available now at all non-real-world bookstores.
