Audrey Mursha Daita: The Big, Bold And Beautiful Fashion Girl

With one big, bold and beautiful step, I commanded attention in the world of fashion. Fitting norms and expectations were always a challenge for me, like trying to find a bra that fits. But playing small was not an option for me. I wanted to inspire and empower others to embrace their own big, bold and beautiful selves.

Rising Against Bullying

When a girl reaches puberty, big changes happen in her body. Back when I was eleven, I was a short and chubby girl. One day, we were playing basketball when a group of bullies showed up.

The older kids tried to make us leave by pushing us as we played. Some of the boys on our team tried to fight back, but that was no use. I stood in front of them with my best friend, Andrea and we told them off.

Andrea and I were always the scrappy and headstrong girls of the bunch, backing up the boys and never backing down. But as loud as we were, they kicked Andrea in the leg. The rest of them converged on us.

Andrea cried out and my need to fight awakened the strength of my Norse giant heritage. I went through a sudden growth spurt and towered over everyone around me. The ground shook beneath my colossal feet and the bullies were in shock and awe. They never expected this fierce little girl to transform into something so awesome.

I let loose a roar that boomed through the arena, standing tall and ready to defend my friends. The bullies, who had once been so sure they could push us, ran away in fear. From that day forward, they knew better than to mess with us. And I learned that my ability was a big responsibility that came with its growing pains.

Big, Bold And Beautiful Trying To Fit In Fashion

I found my love for fashion as a form of self-expression through the simple joy of playing dress-up. That meant raiding my parents’ closet and rummaging through costume boxes.  My parents were in awe when they got home and saw me in my homemade fashion show.

Then came local fashion shows and modelling in children’s clothes catalogues. I began to understand the power of fashion to transform my appearance and also how I felt about myself.

As I grew older and bigger, I started to explore styles that resonated with my bold and adventurous spirit. Bold colors attracted me.  Tight, form-fitting clothes celebrated my curves and thick body. It felt awesome, but not everyone shared my taste in fashion choices.

Some embraced and celebrated my bold fashion sense, admiring my confidence and individuality. Others were quick to judge and criticized what I wore. But I refused to let their opinions dictate how I dressed or how I felt about myself, once a rebel, always a rebel.

Sassy Stylin’ with Smashing Strength

With my long orange-colored hair adorned with green beads, I made my own style of femininity. Modern orc fashion was a blend of ruggedness with a touch of rebelliousness. Modern Norse giant style was a mix of timeless elegance, rustic charm, and a touch of mystical allure.

I became a social media influencer by harnessing the power of my size and curves. People were always fascinated with fashion sizes. So, I created a space where big and bold were beautiful and confidence reigns supreme. My goal was to empower others to love and appreciate themselves, just as they are.

True empowerment comes from within where one nurtures a strong mind, body, and spirit. I found that when I began powerlifting. Through my training, I learned the value of discipline, perseverance, and the incredible capabilities of my own body. It’s a reminder that our strength goes beyond physical appearance and extends to our inner resilience.

Most of all, I met fellow Iron sisters who were curious but nervous about expressing their looks. So, I took them out shopping for clothes that fit their strong builds. By the following weekend, we were a group that dared to show our authentic selves and enjoyed a big girl’s night out.

Life Is Too Short To Play Small

Big is not only a physical attribute; it’s a mindset. By being big, we permit ourselves to occupy the world with confidence and pride. Being big challenges social norms and inspires others to break free from conformity.

In my journey, I have come to realize that being big is not a hindrance; it’s a source of power and pride. I want to inspire others to do the same. I want to help create a world where every individual feels seen, valued, and celebrated. So be big, because life is too short to play small.
